Major Cold Chain Food Distributor: Pennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia

Helping Hub Centers

A major food distributor in the McDonald’s system owns three hub centers across the country, each of which was included in a year-long study. The goal of this project was to reduce carbon footprint, help the different equipment in each location run better while increasing the efficiency and company profits.

CryoGenX4 was deployed in all machines in 2890 tons of equipment across three states and 1.4 Million square feet of cold chain distribution.   CryoGenX4 reduces the cost to operate equipment, regardless of age.

The Results are In- >1000% Return on Investment

Given the substantial results achieved during this year-long study, this Major Food Distributor realized an average 1.97-year payback and a long-term ROI greater than 1000% on all the HVAC/R equipment treated with the CryoGenX4 ECM. This included extensive ammonia systems and rooftops.

These results were verified at the machines, on the meter, and in the electric bill reductions across three states over an entire year.   This project will reduce approximately 23,890 metric tons of CO2 which is equivalent to reducing 58.4 Million miles driven by automobiles.
