Goals

The primary objective was to improve lighting quality and reduce energy consumption while achieving a strong return on investment. By securing a utility rebate to offset project costs, MillerCoors could make a financially viable and sustainable upgrade with minimal upfront expense.

Results

1. Significant Energy Savings
The LED lighting upgrade led to a 51.4% reduction in electricity consumption, allowing MillerCoors to cut costs substantially. This change reflects a significant commitment to energy efficiency and a move toward greener operations.

2. Impressive Return on Investment
The project yielded a 465% return on investment with an expected payback period of just 2 years. The savings achieved quickly covered the installation costs, underscoring the financial benefits of energy-efficient solutions.

3. Carbon Emissions Reduction
By reducing energy consumption, MillerCoors is helping the environment. The project’s impact is equivalent to a reduction of 8,052 metric tons of CO₂ emissions—a powerful move toward sustainability and environmental stewardship.

4. Secured Utility Rebate
Through careful planning and collaboration, MillerCoors secured a utility rebate of over $200,000, significantly offsetting initial expenses and allowing the project to proceed without financial strain.

Currently EET is under contract upgrading LED lighting and installing CryoGenX4 in 17 Other Columbia Distributing Facilities.
