Since 2014, Energy Efficient Technologies (EET) has partnered with Omega Healthcare and one of its operators, Nexion Health, to reduce carbon footprints and energy usage across offices, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing centers.
EET began by conducting detailed studies and testing system performance to demonstrate the energy savings achieved through LED lighting upgrades and the deployment of CryoGenX4 technology. These efforts resulted in an impressive 33% overall energy savings at the headquarters' location.
After this successful pilot demonstration, EET performed extensive audits of all 59 locations and deployed energy conservation measures at all locations.
These measures include deployment and savings validations of CryoGenX4 in 746 Rooftop HVAC machines, and 40,000 LED lighting replacements. This will produce over $5 Million Dollars in energy savings over the life of this equipment.
All of this was completed with no money out of pocket and no debt, as the energy savings paid for the project.
The other 30 locations and 60,000 LED upgrades are under contract to be completed next, bringing the overall lifetime savings after paying for the project to a total of approximately $10 million dollars in this portfolio.
The collaborative effort between Nexion Health Management and Energy Efficient Technologies resulted in significant energy savings, cost reductions, and a notable decrease in carbon emissions across multiple locations. This case study highlights the effectiveness of implementing energy-efficient technologies in commercial settings to achieve both environmental and financial goals.
By prioritizing energy efficiency, Nexion Health now needs 50 fewer acres of solar panels to be Net Zero, saving $10.05 million dollars in addition to the $10 million already being saved in energy costs.
Testimonial:
"Nexion Health has been working with Energy Efficient Technologies since 2017 to reduce our carbon footprint and operating expenses in all 60 locations. With very little disruption to our business, and no money out of pocket, we verified a 35% of overall costs and Scope 2 carbon footprint reduction with the deployment of CryoGenX4 in all HVAC and refrigeration systems as well as LED upgrades in our portfolio.
